| Our track record in the manufacturing sector required us to be not only competent in the construction of say a reinforced concrete furnace foundation but also able to construct a conventional office or amenity building.
As the heavy industrial and manufacturing sectors have gradually contracted over the years, we have ventured into pure building works. For 15 years we carried out structural building alterations for Clarks Shoes nationwide. This developed further into Local Authority work mainly for schools but also other public buildings such as libraries and museums.
We have been in partnership with Derbyshire County Council for the last 5 years. This Framework Agreement has been among the highest ranked in the country during recent government audits. Our relationship with Derbyshire County Council has been very satisfying and now provides us in excess of £1 million sales per annum.
Other regular clients include a world renowned aerospace and naval marine manufacturer in Derby for whom extensive building projects have been successfully carried out.
We have always had a policy of training apprentices in carpentry and joinery, in brickwork and masonry and have been able to provide them with the type of all round experience required to satisfy the most demanding projects from the modern to the historical.
