Pile supported ground beams were used on this wharf side development to overcome poor ground conditions and a high water table.
The works were split into three separate multi-storey blocks consisting of a steelwork podium supporting a panel system super structure, with integral composite concrete floors. Drainage was installed using de-watering to control the high ground water level and the development was finished sympathetically to match the surround cobble and block paved landscaping.
Our contract was the entire sub-structure, suspended concrete floor and external works.
